Effective date: 24 October 2026 Contact: The developer contact details on the game’s Google Play page
This policy explains what information the mobile game Forge Tales (“the game”) handles, why, and what choices you have. The game has no accounts and no server of its own.
Game progress. Your progress (heroes, gear, stages, purchases made, settings) is saved in a file on your device. It is not sent to us. If you delete the game or use Settings → Delete my data, it is erased and cannot be recovered.
Connection checks. The game needs an internet connection. To check that there is one, it sends an empty request to well-known public addresses operated by Google, Cloudflare and Apple. These requests carry nothing about you beyond what any internet request carries (such as your IP address), and we do not receive them.
Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment details. The store tells the game which item you bought so it can be delivered, and keeps a record of items that last (No Ads, hero packs) so they can be restored on a new install. Unity IAP, the library that talks to the store, may send purchase telemetry to Unity Technologies.
Game analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). To learn how the game is played and where it can be improved, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It records how the game is used — for example sessions, stages won or lost, finishing the tutorial, opening the shop, rewarded ads watched and in-app purchases — together with device information (model, operating system, language, approximate location from the IP address) and a random app-instance identifier. It is used for analytics only: the game tells Firebase that advertising storage, advertising use of the data and ad personalisation are not allowed, so this data is not used to show you ads. Ads (Unity Ads). The game offers optional ads that you choose to watch for a reward, and after a stage is won it may show a full-screen ad between stages (never during a fight, never to a new player, a few minutes apart and a limited number a day). They are served by Unity Ads, whose SDK collects device information such as the advertising identifier, IP address (approximate location), device model, diagnostics and how you interact with the ads, in order to show the ad, pay for it and prevent fraud. The game asks Unity Ads for non-personalised ads only: it does not use your data to target ads at you. If you buy No Ads, no ads are shown at all. Notifications. If you allow notifications, the game schedules reminders on your device (for example when your hammers are full). They are created on the device; nothing is sent to us. You can turn them off in Settings or in your device settings.
We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone or precise location. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to target ads at you.
The game is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy. The new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date before it applies.
